Program areas at Kevin Durant Charity Foundation
Community goodwill: Grants were committed to Covid-19 relief efforts across housing, medical relief, homelessness organizations, Food Banks, financial support for low-income families, and pantry bag and PPE distributions to families. In addition, grants were made to support youth sports organizations across the United States, as well as to support University athletics, to provide funding to organizations committed to social and racial injustice and for victims of the helicopter accident that led to the death of Kobe Bryant and 8 other passengers,
Team Durant youth basketball: created to encourage and promote high level youth development by providing educational, athletic, and personal growth. Team Durant funds 18 boys and girls teams.
The Kevin Durant Charity Foundation partners with and funds college track, a renowned college completion program that empowers students from underserved communities to graduate from college. During 2020, the Foundation welcomes its inaugural class of students and completed renovating its educational facility. College track enables students to graduate from college thru the use of the Durant center, a new state of the art educational facility in suitland, md. 120+ students are enrolled in the program annually. College track program students graduate from college at a rate that is more than double the national average for low-income and first-generation students.
