Fine arts: a major tenet of the Christian faith is the need for each person to develop their god-given talents and abilities. Independent schools work together through kea to organize programs to spur their development whether in competitions between students in bible quiz, academic tests, and creative writing, or through participation in festivals where students, either individuals or groups, present before adjudication in activities ranging from art, music, speech, bible preaching/teaching, and academic projects. Over 90 volunteers assisted in preparing and administering the academic tests and creative writing events this year. An additional 240 volunteers usually assist with the student presentations at the festival.
