Program areas at Kids at Science

Provide strategic, high quality science professional development for K-5 grade level STEM Specialists in Orange County, CA. to develop leadership and classroom skills to lead other teachers to implement new national science standards. Science specialists/trainers developed grade-specific lesson plans and developed hands-on classroom science kits for each lesson. Activities led to 240 teachers trained in Life and Environmental Science, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science. Teachers in the training program received a kit to implement each of the lessons in their classrooms. Kids at Science produced a total of 250 teacher kits and 7,680 student kits.
