Program areas at Kim Foundation
A time for hope & healing - each year the Kim Foundation brings the community together to celebrate and learn more about mental health and suicide prevention. We bring in a national keynote speaker, whose message will resonate with our community in a way that is educational, transparent, and hopeful so that community members walk away with a better understanding of the topic, what they can do to help others, and how to get more involved if it is a topic they are passionate about.
More tomorrows - more tomorrows is a partnership public awareness campaign focused on suicide prevention in the region 6 behavioral healthcare area in Nebraska. Suicide is a very real public health problem that affects individuals from all walks of life. It is important to remember that your story is not over. There are more laughs to be had. More love to give and receive. More victories to celebrate. And more importantly, more tomorrows.
Nsmhc - the Nebraska school mental health initiative was launched to promote strong mental health services in our schools; to provide resources and training to increase access; and to promote early intervention and wrap around services for youth and families. Members of the steering committee work together to improve our schools' social and emotional climate by providing a networking platform for community members to collaborate and create change.
