Program areas at Kings Daughters Ministry

During 2023, the Emerald House Shelter Program provided housing, food, clothing, counseling, training, transportation & child needs FREE of charge to 9 individuals. This program is a 24-hour supervised long term (6mo-24mo) program designed to enable women & their children to learn to live free from substance use, abusive relationships, & self-harming actions. These program participants received 180 professional counseling sessions to begin to address their pain & trauma experience. This includes children ages 4 & over. As they work through the Emerald House Program, these individuals are taught life skills, such as budgeting, creating menus prior to grocery shopping, housekeeping, nutrition basics, etc. In 2023, the
The Pearl Place Transition Program provides assistance to the women & their children for housing costs, counseling services, budget and finance education & mentorship accountability after completing the Emerald House Program at King's Daughters Ministry or another similar program. This is a one-year program designed to help individuals become independent & self-sufficient with support provided as needed. Thirty-six (36) hours of professional counseling were provided FREE of charge to 4 participants in this program during 2023.
The Ruby Hall Recovery Center provides a safe environment for our participants to learn, engage & heal while working through the program offered at the King's Daughters Ministry. We provided more than 80hrs of weekly support group sessions that community members & program participants attended in 2023. In addition, more than 1900hrs of education, training, seminars & life skills instrctions were attended at Ruby Hall during 2023. These classes include organizational skills budgeting, self-awareness, relationship building, Bible studies & art therapy. Our ministry is not able to assist all individuals that contact us for various reasons. In these cases, we provide referrals for community resources & other organizations similar to ours to help
