Kingswood Community Center empowers families and centers together through a family support program that focuses on identifying, building on, and maximizing family strengths while emphasizing parent empowerment. Additionally, it provides job awareness workshops and training, budget and housing counseling, teen pregnancy prevention initiatives, and financial assistance to those in need within the community. Its mission is to enable people in Northeast Wilmington and surrounding communities to achieve their potential social, economic, and personal well-being.

Program areas at Kingswood Community Center

Early learning Center - a licensed Delaware stars early learning academy that serves children from ages of 12 months to 5 years old which endeavors to serve and develop potentials and abilities.
Senior Center the jimmy jenkins senior Center provides daily social, recreational, and education activities and daily transportation to assure ongoing good health of the seniors in our Community.
Community and family services - Community and family services provides job awareness workshops and training, budget and housing counseling, teen pregnancy prevention initiatives, and financial assistance to those in need within the Community. Also, Kingswood provides a Community garden that includes 20 raised beds, fruit trees, and bird houses to provide learning experiences for our clientele and fresh fruits and vegetables for the Community.
Youth services - assists youth in attaining phyiscal, emotional, and social well-being, and academic promotion throught after school, evening and summer programs.
Families and centers empowered together ("facet") facet is a family support and empowerment program which uses an asset-based prevention approach that focuses on identifying, building on, and maximizing family strengths, with a strong emphasis placed on parent empowerment.
