Kinship Foundation is organized for charitable purposes, in particular to provide administrative services to other section 501(c)(3) organizations. A principal activity for the tax year was providing administrative support services to the chicago community trust for operation of its scholars program to support research in scientific fields and communication/conferences among scholars for the public benefit. Also during the tax year, the Foundation ran the Kinship conservation fellows program. The program offers a mixture of lectures, field trips and other activities as its means of instruction. The program is a 4-week residential fellowship program. The Foundation also provided grant-making support services to other 501(c)(3) organizations.
