The Foundation supports the largest charitable program of the Kiwanis Indiana district the riley chilren's Foundation rcf. Funds are collected from Indiana Kiwanis clubs and contributed to the rcf to support their mission of serving the medical needs of children in Indiana. During the past 4 years more than $1 million has been raised and donated to rcf.
The Foundation makes grants to Indiana Kiwanis clubs for the benefit of Indiana residents. The grants help increase the capacity of the Indiana Kiwanis clubs to support club projects and the mission of Kiwanis international for citizens of Indiana and the world. Grants are given to help support Kiwanis club projects that benefit youth elderly civic and community development and health and human development. The grant application process is located on the organization's website and has a detailed application process. All grants are approved by the Foundation board of directors.
The Foundation provides scholarships to high school students sponsored by district Kiwanis clubs to support their post-secondary education to colleges and universities in Indiana. Funds are collected from district Kiwanis clubs and used to fund these scholarships. The Foundation also supports the scholarships if funds from the Kiwanis clubs are not sufficient. Scholarship recipients are independent and are selected by an independent committee of the Foundation.
