KKIS Inc KEEPING KIDS IN SCHOOL

Scholarships: KKIS provides scholarships to promising low income public high school and university students who are located in Mexico. This past school year we gave 99 high school scholarships and 28 university scholarships. We also graduated 3 university students and 32 high school students. These students have changed their lives with their diplomas.

Learning English: Those entering the workforce who speak Spanish and English will fare significantly better than those who speak only Spanish. Twice a week KKIS volunteers work in 2 public high schools located in Mexico with small groups of students who are learning English but rarely interact with native English speakers. Our focus is on conversation, pronunciation and building confidence speaking English.

School Supplies: There are children in Mexico who are not going to school simply because their families cannot afford school supplies. We give away 2-3000 bags of school supplies each year to these children in Mexico. School supplies are the tools for learning and being successful in the classroom.
