Program areas at Knights of Columbus - 4034 Fredericksburg Council
Church - the Knights of Columbus have served as the strong right arm for the catholic church since their establishment. The Knights of Columbus provide support for church activities and catholic charities.
Family - families are the foundation of society and are at the core of the Knights of Columbus. With this in mind, the Knights of Columbus regularly sponsor activities that allow families to spend time together in volunteer activities, faith initiatives, and social events. Throughout the year, the Knights of Columbus host monthly family dinners, an annual fishing trip, pool parties, family bowling, hospital and nursing home visits.
Community - the Knights of Columbus find ways to help those in need in the community at large. Through their works, whether it be bringing food to the hungry, warm coats to the cold, wheelchairs to those who can not walk, or any of the many other programs conducted to help those in need, the Knights of Columbus practices a charity that evangelizes. Past and present programs have included sponsoring a craft fair, blood drives, annual yard sales, thanksgiving baskets, and kovar, which was established to provide assistance to tax exempt organizations providing training and assistance to citizens with intellectual disabilities.
Other program services include the culture of life, where the Knights of Columbus remain firmly committed to defending the right to life of every human bring from the moment of conception to natural death, and youth services.
