Program areas at Kokomo Rescue Mission
Shelter programs- the lives of 690 homeless men, women, and children were changed, moving them toward a stable, sustainable lifestyle through faith based programs which address the underlying causes of homelessness. 20 residential guests worked toward their ged. 100% of the students who graduated have gained employment.
Resale shop- extremely reasonable prices on merchandise gave working families a way to purchase their clothing and household needs. For those without resources, clothing valued at 41,841 was given out free of charge. Cost of sales of 534,514 is included on the statement of revenue, line 10b.
Outreach programs- weary souls found hope that someone cares through free meals served daily; 110,486 meals were served in fye 2023. At christmas, 1,859 families with 3,173 people had a joyful celebration with gift cards for food and gifts provided through the Mission's red ribbon christmas outreach. More than 50,000 pounds of groceries were given to families in need.
This item represents one local program: muff is the howard county ministerial association's fund to help members of the community with utility costs.
