We build and support schools in our adopted villages, as well as provides scholarships and access to live-in hostels for students.Access to health careProviding free and accessible health care is vital to a community's sustainability. We focus on preventative care through outreach projects like our regular health camps. Additionally, the KRS Foundation has built a health care clinic in Sugganahalli, which provides much-needed services like maternal health care.Economic empowermentThe KRS Foundation has run an interest-free micro-loan program, "Nivarana," since 1998. This program was a direct request from many women in our adopted villages who were interested in becoming economically self-sufficient. In a rural farming community where most families livelihood depends on crop yields, this program provides added economic security.DUE TO INDIA LAW, THE ORGANIZATION WAS UNABLE TO DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE ANY FUNDS TO THE VILLAGES DURING 2021. DURING 2022, THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED APPROVAL TO CONTINUE TO FUND THE VILLAGES AND SO CONTRIBUTIONS WILL RESUME IN 2022.
