Program areas at Kujali International
Successful financing and management of a free educational youth center that served 35-50 orphaned and vulnerable post-secondary students, and provided life skills training, secondary education classes, mentorship, and career advocacy services in the city of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Expenses include staff salaries and benefits; rent and maintenance of facilities; educational program supplies and materials; office supplies; and a small events budget.
The successful continuation of Kujali's volunteer and adventure travel experiences, which promotes cross-cultural exchange and creates high-impact learning opportunities for international travelers seeking to expand their understanding of philanthropy and development, secondary education, and culture in Tanzania, while also raising awareness and support for Kujali's programs and efforts in Tanzania. Expenses include travel, lodging, local transport, food, and supplies.
Provision of academic scholarships to low-income youth in Tanzania for vocational training and higher learning, which included funds for tuition fees, books, school supplies, food, housing, and transport.
Financial contribution to support education programs implemented by the LGBY Foundation, which supports skills training for vulnerable youth in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania; and to HOCET Secondary School, which provides housing and secondary education to orphaned and vulnerable youth in Mkuranga, Tanzania.
