21st Century Academy equip K-12 Northside Scholars to become accelerated learners, game-changing global leaders and justice oriented entrepreneurs. We practice radical hope through healing racialized trauma, academic execellence, artistic expressions and innovative activism. Practicing radical hope and education shifts environments from despair, desperation and downhearedness to possibility, wellbeing and future readiness. These experiences build community, seek to enhance relationship and develop sense of support.

Northside Healing Space heals trauma through rest, remembrance, resistance and revival. Northside Healing Space started as a safe drop in refuge for Women and Girls to heal from commercial sexual exploitation. We consider it an off ramp for Women and Girls coming through our door from the trauma and dehumanizing impact of the sex trade. It was those same Women and Girls who challenged us to think bigger and help heal the trauma in the broader community. Northside Healing Space is designed to be a "safe and culturally celbratory space" for the North Minneapolis community to heal from trauma and enhance resiliency skills. Northside Healing Space offers Afro-Indigenous practice that challenge ideas and enlighten healing.
