La Soupe

La Soupe addresses the needs of the food insecure through a chef-based model in which rescued perishable food is transformed into prepared servings for distribution. Between 7/1/22 to 6/30/23, our rescue partners donated nearly 1.3 million pounds of perfectly good perishable food headed to the landfill. La Soupe gathered, sorted and packaged approximately 60% of this food before directly sharing to community agencies feeding the food insecure. The remaining food was transformed by the La Soupe staff and volunteers into Soupe and other prepared meals. Between 7/1/22 to 6/30/23, La Soupe donated approximately 1.0 million servings to the food insecure.
