Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy protects the Lake Superior Watershed for future generations and explores opportunities to acquire environmentally sensitive land. The transfer of ownership of the twenty Gargantua Islands off the shore from Lake Superior Provincial Park to the Conservancy's control was completed in 2017. The conservency is now maintaining the islands and providing Canoe excursions to the islands to promote the understanding surrounding the heritage of the islands.
