Program areas at Latin Americans Working for Achievement

Scholarships:The Youth Scholarship program funds new and renewable scholarships to eligible Latino students so that they can pursue rewarding trade and professional careers. Since our founding, more than 300 young women and men have received $1,450,000 in financial assistance. Scholarhsip recipients participate in workshops to develop soft skills and networking.
High School Series:The High School Series workshops were launched in 2010. These free bilingual workshops are held at local community colleges and universities and are designed to help Latino families prepare for post-secondary education. Informational sessions include academic and social development, career pathways, college admissions, college applications, financial aid, networking, and mentoring. Since their inception, more than 2,200 teens and their caregivers have benefited from our workshops.
