Latino Film Institute's Youth Cinema Project enhances students' education through project-based learning, producing competent and resilient problem-solvers who bridge achievement and opportunity gaps. The statewide program partners with public schools to develop creativity, reinforce literacy, and teach filmmaking in grades 4-12. Latino Film Institute also hosts the premier international event, Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, dedicated to revealing the Latino human experience through various forms of expression. Program areas at Latino Film Institute

Latino Film Institute youth cinema project is a statewide, project-based learning educational program that develops creativity and reinforces literacy in 4th-12th grade public schools through the art of filmmaking. We partner with school districts, adminstrators and faculty to ensure the program supports common core standards and overall learning objectives. We provide industry professionals, teacher training, curriculum outlines, and workplace exposure beyond the classroom.
