Program areas at Quinteto Latino
Quinteto Latino: a woodwind quintet that promotes classical music by Latino and Latin American composers. The three main areas of activity were: 1. Performances both local and national. 2. Music Education and 3. Mentoring and Training for public school teachers and teaching artists.
Consulting Services: Consulting and technical services to organizations and institutions that seek to improve their outreach and services for Latino and Latin American audiences. Also development of collateral materials for social justice consultations. Recent clients have included Intermusic SF Caramoor Music Festival and Chamber Music America.
Seminario: A three-day convening at San Jose State of Latino classical musicians which included workshops rehearsals discussions and culminated in a public performance. There were 19 direct participants and a concert audience of 125.
