Program areas at Laumeier Sculpture Park

Curatorial Laumeier Sculpture Park commissions, collects, and preserves contemporary art with a focus on Sculpture throughout its 105-acre campus. The art collection consists of more than 70 large-scale sculptures on view outdoors plus additional works on loan and in storage. Laumeier also presents temporary exhibitions both indoors and outdoors that feature local, national, and international artists. More than 360,000 annual visitors from around the globe visit Laumeier free of charge to enjoy the combination of art and nature offered throughour exhibitions, education, and public programs.
Public programslaumeier Sculpture Park is an accredited museum and public Park. The institution provides a broad spectrum of culturally enriching activities for community members and guests from around the globe to enjoy each year. Presenting a unique mix of art and nature, Laumeier annually hosts art fair and many other public programs. These programs provide the public with opportunities to participate in experiences that further develop their appreciation for art and nature.
Educationlaumeier's education programs serve lifelong learners through classes, workshops, camps, school field trips, community programs and printed publications. These programs engage more than 450 artists and art educators each year. Our education vision is for a global communitywhere curiosity, exploration, creativity, innovation, and collaboration are the catalysts for sparking vibrant exchange between artists, educators, and learners of all ages and backgrounds. Through this exchange we unlock the power of art and nature, including its ability for personal restoration and growth as well as its broader impact on local, national, and international issues.
Exhibitslaumeier presents a unique mix of public programs inspired by art and nature, many of which are free or low cost. One of the most popular public programs is a 3-day art fair that attracts more than 15,000 attendees and supports more than 150 artists, entertainers, and food vendors. Discover Laumeier gives the public a chance to participate in hands-on artmaking free of charge and Laumeier after dark allows visitors to explore the Park at night while enjoying the work ofartists whose practice is light-based. Three in-residence artists are selected annually to further engage the community with special projects and programs.
