Lawrence County Historical Society operates and maintains the Lawrence Co. Museum, our museum archive, and our facility to store artifacts relative to the history of our county. We have funded the restoration of our 1890s carriage through a 2011 grant and refurbish our 3rd floor storage. Additionally, we sponsor educational programs which are free and open to the public as well as contests for local students about facts regarding Lawrence Co. with prizes awarded to the participating students and schools.
