Lawrence Habitat for Humanity builds and/or renovates affordable houses with professional quality work and volunteer labor. The homes are sold to low-income families that meet certain income guidelines and complete an application process.
Lawrence Habitat administered a grant for Kansas Habitat affiliates funded by the Kansas housing resource corporation. The goal of the funding was to increase the capacity of statewide Kansas Habitat affiliates and increase affordable housing options for Kansas. This work concluded in april of 2023.
The restore sells new and gently used building supplies, household appliances, fixtures and furnishings, for the purpose of raising funds to expand home building capacity.
