Fall summit: together we rise shaping education for today, tomorrow & beyondleaf, Inc. Sponsored new york state council of school superintendents annual fall summit focusing conversations on transforming school culture through online and blended learning and tapping into students' creative potential. The fall Leadership summit offers keynote addresses by national experts in the fields of Leadership, education and related areas; opportunities for members to share best practices with colleagues through smaller Educational sessions; an interactive discussion with the commissioner of education about new york state issues and initiatives; and networking for support and collegiality among members through social interaction, group discussions, meeting and workshops. 426 superintendents and 123 assistant superintendents were served in 2022-23.
Winter institute: road to awesome empower, lead, change the gameleaf, Inc. Sponsored new york state council of school superintendents annual winter institute focusing conversations on collectively advocating for children. The winter institute offers keynote addresses by national experts in the fields of Leadership, education and related areas; opportunities for members to share best practices with colleagues through smaller Educational sessions; an interactive discussion with the commissioner of education about new york state issues and initiatives; and networking for support and collegiality among members through social interaction, group discussions, meeting and workshops. 338 superintendents and 74 assistant superintendents were served in 2022-23.
Leadership coaching - a program to help new and veteran educators to do better. Coaches are thought partners who help think through the challenges and dreams while also helping avoid mistakes and missteps. The coaching conversations unleash potential by tapping into thinking with a focus on desired results. Coaches see the potential for unintended consequences of actions and keep focused on what is most important. Coaches generally meet monthly with those with whom they work for an hour or so in confidential sessions. 68 districts took advantage of this program working with 42 different coaches. 304 superintendents, assistant superintendents and principals served in 2022-23.
