Leadership Triangle educates, develops, connects, and activates leaders committed to making the Triangle the best place to work, live and thrive. It achieves this by providing leadership development classes, social networking opportunities, public forums and an annual leadership summit called Thrive. Additionally, Leadership Triangle's executive program brings together c-level executives and their spouses or partners with community leaders for learning and networking. The 2023 Thrive Community Leadership Summit will be hosted by Leadership Triangle in Raleigh, NC.

Program areas at Leadership Triangle

Emerging leaders - in recognition of the historical inequities in recruitment and pay for local hbcu graduates, Leadership Triangle has partnered with capitol broadcasting company (cbc) to launch the emerging leaders program. Over the fall semester, program participants complete a 400 hour paid program. 350 hours are spent in an internship within a cbc division and 50 hours are spent in Leadership development workshops with Leadership Triangle. Students are recruited from nccu, shaw university and st. augustine's university and the program is open to rising juniors and seniors.
Alumni/fellows - Leadership Triangle supports a fellowship community of 1100+ goodmon fellows. Goodmon fellows are individuals who have graduated from our cohort-based programs. Through our fellow programming, Leadership Triangle makes direct investments into supporting the community Leadership of our fellows. Leadership Triangle has supported volunteer events, networking gatherings, the creation of a podcast to uplift and share fellows stories, and a fellows-only job board, freely accessible to anyone in the Triangle.
Transforming leaders class - transforming leaders is a masters level course in personal Leadership development. We accomplish this by combining core curriculum, 360 feedback results, and one-on-one coaching with an intentional learning community. Each graduate gains a new network of regional leaders and a sense of their own place in the ever-changing Triangle. Leadership Triangle facilitates two cohorts of the transforming leaders program each fiscal year.in addition to the program service revenue, Leadership Triangle reported $4,009 in sponsorships for this program in fy 2022-2023, which is included as contributions on the form 990.
Community programs - as a partner to the region, Leadership Triangle offers standalone workshops, trainings, and networking opportunities for leaders across the Triangle. In this fiscal year, we supported small business owners and entrepreneurs in chatham county, facilitated trainings on nonprofit board Leadership with large corporate audiences, and led several teams in deep-dives on their systems and practices.
Executive - the Leadership Triangle executive program is an opportunity for c-level executives, and their spouses or partners, to meet and learn from other top executives as well as community leaders. Our cohorts include executives who are new to the region, or in new positions, alongside individuals who have been building and working in the Triangle for decades. By engaging in conversations that address key regional issues, each participant leaves with a better understanding of their greater responsibility to the Triangle region as well as with new connections to other leaders in comparable positions.leadership Triangle reported $50,897 in sponsorships for this program in fy 2022-2023, which is included as contributions on the form 990.
Transforming teams - transforming teams is a six month immersive, cohort-based experience for teams seeking to deepen trust and connection and make their practices and procedures more effective. Each team engages with expert Leadership development facilitators to help support their individual organizations needs, while learning overarching principles of equitable and transformational organizational design. In this fiscal year, Leadership Triangle supported 10 nonprofit organizations through our partnership with the united way of the greater Triangle's 10 to watch program.
Neighborhood impact - our neighborhood impact program delivers two main offerings. First, a monthly gathering of 85 community organizers and activists, designed to help facilitate shared resources and build greater trust and accountability across issue areas. Second, the development of six online learning modules, focused on advocacy, storytelling, and Leadership. All learning modules are free and accessible to the public; the gathering is free and open to any community leader in the Triangle.
Regional program - this program encourages participants to see themselves as future regional leaders. Over the course of 4 months, our regional program connects participants to pressing issues facing the region and some of the most engaged local leaders and organizations working to address them. Regional addresses issues like affordable housing, sustainable land use, racial equity, and education. In addition to the program service revenue, Leadership Triangle reported $915 in sponsorships for this program in fy 2022-2023, which is included as contributions on the form 990.
Thrive - the thrive community Leadership summit offers context on our region's most pressing issues and is a space and place for engaged community members within the Triangle to collaborate. Leadership Triangle offered the 2023 thrive community Leadership summit at marbles kids museum. Thrive featured keynotes on equitable growth, children's mental health, and workplace culture. Thrive 2023 was an incredible success, with over 250 leaders from across the Triangle region in attendance.in addition to the program service revenue, Leadership Triangle reported $32,500 in sponsorships for this program in fy 2022-2023, which is included as contributions on the form 990.
