Our customized approaches to instructional improvements offer direct support for teachers that strengthens the conditions and learning infrastructure around them. Chicago:chicago collaborative: Leading Educators introduced a unique professional development model helping teachers in twenty schools across three districts in the chicago area develop their content knowledge and understanding of equitable teaching practices.skyline curriculum: building upon the collaborative foundation, Leading Educators is assisting chicago public schools with implementation of their skyline curriculum. The skyline curriculum sets a new standard for instructional materials, builds upon grade-level standards and learning science to uniquely connect with the identities and experiences of chicago students.grand rapids:leading Educators began training principles and teacher leaders to significantly increase academic achievement among economically-disadvantaged youth attending nearly 120 district, charter and religious schools in the greater grand rapids urban area. This training focused on teacher effectiveness, which research consisently shows is the single most powerful lever for driving student academic outcomes and successes.the outcomes are to learn ways to support and encourage teachers to use high-quality equitable instructional materials and practices, including removing barriers and adjusting current inequitable structures. Charleston: in its second year, charleston county has partnered with Leading Educators to bolster teacher knowledge and skill in math and english language arts (ela) in a group of "acceleration schools". Acceleration schools are continuing to build professional learning that is focused and coherent. By june 2023 the school's kindergarten through eighth grade ela teachers will tailor instruction to the students' needs by using the english language education curriculumn to guide instructional decisions thereby providing a framework for student success.new york department of education (nydoe):leading Educators partnered with nydoe to evaluate with hmh into reading and nyc 6 ela shifts, fostering sustainability in the harlem community school district. Through the first half of the school year, Leading Educators has shown significant progress:- ability to launch and provide side by side coaching in collaboration with school leadership teams.- facilitate school-based professional development and instructional modeling to best support curriculum clarity, accessibility, and instructional best practices.- teachers are feeling support and have begun to implement action steps provided by the Leading Educators coaching team.- collecting walkthrough and iready data from district.cincinnati:leading Educators has partnered with cincinnati public schools (cps) to:- faciliate district-wide professional learning for 2,000+ k-12 math and literacy teachers.- provide cps teachers with side-by-side coaching and support.- facilitate ongoing professional learning to cps instructional coaches.- provide ongoing professional learning and support to cps district-level curriculum managers.with goals to:- increase cps ela and math teachers' proficiency in successfully implementing best instructional practices and research-based strategies.- deepen cps ela and math teachers' knowledge and strengthen their practices of using daily lesson activities that are well sequenced and move students toward mastery of grade-level standards promoting the persistence of students.
