Program areas at League for Innovation in the Community College
Project firstline: infection control in Community College curriculum comprehensive infection control education and practice for nursing and allied health students u.s. centers for disease control and prevention (cdc) is partnering with the american hospital association and the League for Innovation in the Community College to launch a new initiative to integrate enhanced infection control content into Community College classrooms, with the goal of helping healthcare workers start their careers with the infection control knowledge and realities of practice they need to keep themselves and their patients safe. This partnership is a part of project firstline, cdcs innovative infection control training collaborative, and is designed to further integrate essential infection control training and practice into Community colleges nursing and allied health curricula.
Dissemination: the League produced a annual magazine, five monthly periodicals, and a monthly newsletter, all in digital format. the 2022 issue of innovatus magazine was announced in the League's e-newsletter, League connections. Digital periodicals, including leadership abstracts, learning abstracts, Innovation showcase, member spotlight, and project highlight. Two print versions of League booksone alternative funding for Community colleges and one the Community College baccalaureate: supporting regional economic developmentwere sold through the League's online bookstore.
Conferences and institutes: the League holds events to provide forums for members, partners, and nonmembers to discuss current issues facing Community colleges and share their innovations and best practices with colleagues; opportunities for individual professional and leadership development, including preparation for a Community College presidency; and venues for team-building and organizational development leading to innovative and improved practice. the League held three events: (a) the innovations conference; (b) the learning summit, which was held in a single-session workshop; and (c) the executive leadership institute.
