Community Education - the lwvcef has a broad-based community Education program designed to engage people with the critical issues facing our state. This includes voter Education and engagement, local community educational opportunities on relevant community issues, statewide webinars on matters such as housing/climate/criminal justice, Education about redistricting and the impact of people-powered fair maps. The lwvcef published a paper on the 2020 state redistricting cycle to assess effectiveness and educate community members on what worked and what could be better. Finally, the lwvcef acts as the administrative backbone of the future of California elections network and hosted the future of California elections conference.
Trudy schafer fellowship - this fellowship is a 10-month long experiential learning program providing hands-on training in how state government works, public policy, and community education/organizing work in the areas of social policy, natural resources, and good government.
Voter'Voters's edge - voter'Voters's edge provides californians with the only unbiased, non-partisan online ballot guide to help them learn about the candidates on their ballot, which includes campaign finance data and the candidates' positions on their own, unedited words. Voter'Voters's edge is provided in english and spanish and was being redesigned for efficiency and an improved experience for Voters and candidates.
