Program areas at Leap to Success
Leap to Success provides empowerment and leadership programs for women who are recovering from domestic violence, homelessness, addiction, and other challenges. This year, we expanded our capabilities and are now training and licensing other organizations across the country to use our innovative curriculum. In 2023, our Leap to Confidence program provided 174 women with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive. Additionally, 115 women participated in Empowerment Circles and received ongoing support, averaging 9 visits per participant for a total of 1,071 visits. Leap to Confidence 60 days after graduation program outcomes included: 20% of participants were hired for a new position; 20% maintained their current employment; and 11% started their own businesses. In regard to skill development, 95% reported handling stress more effectively, 96% were able to change negative thinking into positive thoughts and actions, 96% felt empowered to make choices, and 88% felt hopeful about their future. The Leap to Confidence for Helping Professionals course was attended by 76 people from multiple organizations and 5 trainers attended the Trainer Certification program, expanding our reach to Atlanta Georgia. Close to 900 community members, primarily professionals in social service agencies, attended outreach and education sessions delivered by our staff. These sessions covered stress management techniques and our confidence-building curriculum.
