Program areas at Leeds Endowment
Diveheart, dba thresher aquatics, is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide and support educational scuba diving programs that are open to any child, adult or veteran with a disability, with the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person. Diveheart works with individuals who have a variety of disbilities, including physical and developmental disabilities, vision and hearing impairments, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, ptsd and more.
Tidal k-9 is a service dog training center and rescue located in north fort myers, fl. Their mission is to provide trained service dogs for individuals with disabilities.
All other accomplishments - the Leeds Endowment, Inc. Donated directly to local organizations who provide needed services to the disabled. This year a donation went to g4 good foundation whose mission is to help good people do good things by supporting diveheart, which provides scuba diving experiences to the disabled. A donation also went to american association of caregiving youth, which provides support to children and adolescents who provide significant assistance to relatives needing help because of physical or mental illness, disability or frailty. Donations were also made to special olympics of fl, sea turtle adventures, shifting gears united, mutty paws, and season to share, all non profits supporting the disabled.
