Program areas at Legacy Reef Foundation
We have accomplished coral land propagation by the community, with scientific guidance. We have trained lay volunteers in coral land-based propagation and care, and successfully propagated coral in the lab setting.
Citizen Scientist program: Enables, supports and guides citizens of all ages to conduct scientific projects that support our mission. For example, water quality testing in different bays.
Outreach program: Educate the community regarding the importance and role of coral reefs in the global ecosystem. Teach ways to minimize the negative impact on the reefs by choosing small but effective changes in our daily lifestyle, plus ways to enjoy our ocean resources in a sustainable way.
