Program areas at Legion of Vikings and Valkyries
The biennial membership meeting in april 2020 was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, so no charitable donations were proposed to be voted on.
Applicants for membership are lineal descendants of Vikings or their wives who accompanied them on raids or participated in battle. Legion of Vikings and Valkyries was created to: promote genealogical and historical research; promote the preservation of artifacts relative to the lives of Vikings and their families; honor those descendants of the Vikings and their wives who helped shape the course of history; and educate members and those of like pursuit.
Biennial meetings are to be held in Washington, dc to conduct the official business of the organization, including decisions on charitable donations. Plans were made to hold the inaugural meeting in april 2020 and reservations were accepted for that meeting. However, with the coronavirus pandemic spreading in early 2020, the meeting was cancelled and reservations refunded to members.
