In 2023, Liberty Hose Company No 2 of Lykens responded to 119 emergency calls. We protected the 1700 residents of the borough on 52 occasions for calls ranging from structure fires to vehicle accidents to basement flooding. We assisted other agencies outside the borough on mutual aid 67 times, helping to protect over a dozen municipalities and over 10,000 residents from fire and other emergencies. We provided these services as a 100% volunteer emergency organization at no cost to anyone that requests or needs our help.
