Program areas at LEO
Leo maintains 5 adult family homes, which are debt free, for adults with disabilities. Our newest home was licensed in 2022 but did not have residents until 2023. These homes will house 27 adults and 5 live-in care providers. Providing this type of facility helps to further the mission of including adults with developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community and providing them with independence.
Leo uses resources to increase community awareness of people who have developmental disabilities, encourage their inclusion in all aspects of community Life and make it possible for 250 individuals with a developmental disability to achieve a quality Life in the greater issaquah/snoqualmie valley area. Examples of community involvement include partnering with local rotary clubs to provide the annual gravity challenge race for children with disabilities to participate in, educational programs designed to increase community awareness of people who have developmental disabilities, encourage their inclusion in all aspects of community Life and make it possible for every individual with a developmental disability to achieve a quality Life in the greater issaquah snoqualmie valley area.
Leo partnered with issaquah parks and community services to provide social and recreational activities for 100 individuals with developmental disabilities so they are able to get out in the community with their peers.
