Program areas at Light Bringer Project

College & career pathways - brings public school students in high school arts academies career education to help the progress into post secondary education and creative careers.
Room 13 creative studios - four art studios established in the pasadena elementary, middle, and high school offers ongoing training in art techniques, leadership skills, and basic business practices. Joint student and exhibit and exchanges are held in community settings. The room 13 program serves over 500 students a year. The festival was presented to the public online last year due to covid 19.
Pasadena chalk festival - the annual two-day event brings over 600 diverse visual artists to pasadena's civic center to create approximately 200 street paintings. This public art festival is free-of-charge and includes live performances and artmaking opportunities for the entire family.
Expressing feelings through art - is a prevention, literacy and visual arts program offered to senior high school students. An annual public exhibition and scholarship awards ceremony is held in the spring for students, art teachers and family members to acknowledge outstanding student artworks and writing.
Locavore lit - a classroom workshop, curriculum resource and online story journal designed to spark a love of reading and writing among middle and high school public school students. Through our program, young people are directly connected with visiting authors and an open source text filled with relevant works and original illustrations from our rich litearry and artistic community.
Omega sci-fi: the classroom writing program seeks to empower emerging writers to contribute their unique voices and diverse perspectives to the art of sceince fiction story writing while tapping into the power of sceince fiction to examine the greatest challenges and moral dilemmas humanity faces.
Lit fest pasadena - the special events brings almost 200 authors, poets, and writers of all kinds to panel discussions and readings in front of a live audience. Participants share topical ideas and discuss the power of the written word and how it influences our thinking and makes the world a better place.
Rochlin awards - scholarships awarded to high school students in los angeles in the literary arts.
