Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento

To promote the advancement and appreciation of theatrical and musical arts to the general public through the presentation of live operatic staged performances and to provide the opportunity for individuals trained in theatre or music to receive additional high-quality performance experience in the local community. Every year during the spring the Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento stages a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta using volunteer actors. The operetta is staged for nine performances and usually attracts approximately 900 attendees from the general public.
