The Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. supports the Town of Lincolnville, Maine Fire Department. The Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department Inc. provides support by donating monies to the Town for the purchase of equipment, fire trucks and other fire related purposes. The donation of monies for these purposes greatly reduces the property tax burden on the citizens of the Town of Lincolnville.In 2014, $4,494 was granted to the Town of Lincolnville for Fire Department purchases as follows:1.) Furniture = $4,494 was used to purchase chairs for the fire house.2.) Depreciation expense related to program equipment was $6403.) In addition, to the grants given to the Town of Lincolnville Fire Department, $5,000 was given as scholarships to individuals.4.) All other program expenses $655.Grand total expenses = $10,789
The Lincolnville Community Foundation inc. provides support by donating monies to the town of Lincolnville for the purchase of equipment, fire trucks, and other fire related purposes. This activity supports the entire town by reducing the amount of taxes needed to provide for the fire department.
