Program areas at Lions of Virginia Foundation
Grants to various Lions clubs in Virginia for spot vision screeners. These screeners allow the Lions clubs to screen young children for various vision issues. When issues are detected, the child's family is referred for appropriate medical care. The screenings are done in schools, day care centers or any venue where there are young children. Screenings are free.
Working with various Lions clubs in Virginia, the Foundation makes grants for the purchase of vision & hearing equipment, flood & storm relief, school equipment and supplies, scholarships and support to various exempt organizations and govermental entities.
Grants to various food banks and Lions clubs for mobile emergency food pantry.
