Program areas at Literacy Works

To prepare volunteers at adult education programs, we provide our 12-hour tutor essentials training in teaching english as a second language (esl) and adult basic education (abe). Tutors receive ongoing training and support through our robust ongoing training and learning opportunities which cover a wide variety of relevant topics.for adult Literacy professionals, we offer training, networking and a variety of learning opportunities. We also offer customized training and program consultation services.for professional outside of the adult Literacy field, we offer training and consultation on clear communication strategies.
