Program areas at Little Hooves and Big Hearts
To give children with special needs, seniors and others the opportunity to improve their physical and emotional well-being through interaction with specially trained miniature horses.
"healing with horses" is a weeklong program of group equine-assisted therapy specifically designed to help victims of mental, physical, and/or sexual abuse. Held at the Little Hooves facility in oracle, Arizona, the program seeks to promote the recovery process by creating a safe, non-judgmental space in which participants can express their needs, find their voice, regain a sense of trust, learn coping skills and more fully appreciate their own self-worth. "healing with horses" is offered at no cost to participants.
Fees from private pay individuals for interaction with specially trained miniature horses.
