In 2023, a staggering 72.4% of summit county youth in grades 6-12 reported moderate to high depressive symptoms, and 46% indicated a moderate to high need for mental health treatment. To address this urgent need, Live Like Sam has made significant strides in promoting mental health and well-being: - thrive program: our evidence-based thrive program has shown remarkable results. Participants experienced a 25% decrease in anxiety, a 21% decrease in depressive symptoms, and a 7% increase in resilience and 5% increase in quality of life within just six weeks. - digital wellness: we're launching a groundbreaking digital wellness program to equip young people with the tools to navigate the digital world responsibly and maintain healthy screen habits. - elementary school programs: through fun and engaging activities, we empower k-5 students to develop strong character, teamwork, and kindness. These skills will help them dream big, overcome challenges, build meaningful connections, and thrive.
