Program areas at Loaves and Fishes

The Commodity Supplemental Food Progam (CSFP) provides a monthly "box" of United States Department of Agriculutre (USDA) nutritious food to supplement the diet of low-income elderly at least 60 years of age who are at risk of malnutrition. CSFP is funded by the USDA through the New Mexico Human Services Department. CSFP provides for warehousing, certification of eligible participants, inventory control and ultimate food distribution.
