Computer Refurbishing and Distribution and directly related admin. tasks. As the only non profit in Monterey and San Benito counties in the Microsoft Refurbisher Program. Since 2009 LFC has provided thousands of computer systems to economically disadvantaged and under-served individuals and families. Total number of computers sold to low-income applicants is 296. Total number of computer accessories (e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitors) is 200 and total number of computers donated is 35

Instruction & Classes. In 2024, LFC significantly advanced digital literacy among local individuals and families by organizing and delivering comprehensive digital literacy classes on Chromebook platforms across schools, nonprofits, and libraries, serving hundreds of adults and young adults. Through our "Connecting Seniors with Technology" program, we provided personalized and small-group instruction and support to seniors ages 60 and over. Additionally, LFC hosted a unique adult-and-child workshop focused on internet safety, where participants created art using e-waste materials. Computer Repairs. LFC has conducted hundreds of repairs through its low cost technical assistance and repair services to support individuals and families in need.
