During the fiscal year, lbca:-initiated and collaborated with global network of ilc advocates and researchers to write a declaration claiming october 15th as global Lobular Breast Cancer awareness day and initiated planning work with a pr company to broaden message to all women over age 40-launched local advocacy team (lat) initiative to encourage and support local advocates conducting education and research advocacy in their communities-produced brochure about ilc and Lbca and translated into over 19 different languages-produced patient faq on tissue donation-funded ilc research grants with (cont'd in schedule o) the society of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, asco / conquer Cancer foundation, and american association for Cancer research-created a movie to encourage participation in Breast Cancer clinical trials and shared on our website and social media outlets-sponsored and participated in the 2023 international ilc symposium held in pittsburgh, pa-sponsored first ever educational session on ilc at the san antonio Breast Cancer symposium 2023-produced two posters presented at Breast Cancer conferences on patient experience with surgical treatment planning-developed and shared on website and social media lay summaries of all ilc posters presented at sabcs 23, to make the research presented accessible to lay audiences-translated questions for your doctor and other patient facing educational materials into over 16 languages and shared these on organizational website-managed website with over 44,000 visits that provides detailed information for the public about invasive Lobular Breast Cancer (ilc), ilc research, clinical trials and patient advocacy opportunities-hosted 3 webinars for ilc patient advocates on research and other topics, and provided 21 travel scholarships to patient advocates to attend trainings and conferences-sponsored scientific advisory board meetings to involve ilc researchers in advocacy and in the development of the information Lbca disseminates-sponsored patient advocate advisory board meetings to involve ilc patient advocates in ilc awareness raising activities and strategic planning-published monthly newsletter reaching over 5,800 subscribers
