Education and training: the Lone Star Bleeding Disorders Foundation (Lone Star bdf) aided and promoted the education of individuals with inherited Bleeding Disorders, their families, the general public, and the medical/scientific community regarding all aspects of inherited Bleeding Disorders, related complications, and treatments. Continued on schedule o.
Community needs: Lone Star bdf promoted access to high quality, safe therapeutic materials crucial in the treatment of inherited Bleeding Disorders, and encouraged the comprehensive care including mental well-being of persons with a Bleeding disorder. Through the helping hands program, Lone Star bdf assisted over 50 families in crisis who were unable to pay or receive treatment for their medical condition, or had an unusual strain placed on household finances because of their Bleeding disorer.
