Long Beach Community Players

The Long Beach playhouse was the city of Long Beach's first performing arts organization, having been organized in 1929. The playhouse produces 13 plays each year with performances held 50 weeks out of the year. The plays are traditional, classic, contemporary, and new scripts. The organization also conducts theatre education programs for children and adults, new works projects, visual art exhibitions, student internships, and benefit performances. The playhouse provides numberous volunteer opportunities, in plays, exhibits, educational programs,and theatre operations. We consistently receive awards and critical acclaim. As a result, we draw 35,000 people annually to our performances.
