The lia is the region's leading business organization that amplifies the voice of the business community to ensure a bright future for Long Island. The lia advocates for economic development on the federal, state, and local levels of government; supports its members with their company growth and relationship building; and hosts prominent events with business and government leaders.
The lia is a respected voice and resource on topics critical to Long Island's economy through its annual policy priorities, research reports, programs, and ongoing leadership in areas including supporting small businesses; addressing Long Island's affordability; creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Long Island; advocating for infrastructure investments; advancing a clean energy economy; and cultivating innovation.
The strategic committees of the lia explore topics critical to our region's economic growth and hold events so members can network and connect with decision makers. The lia also hosts annual events with globally recognized and influential speakers, including the state of the region, evening of honors, and luncheons.
