The Long Island Association (lia) is the region's leading non-profit and non-partisan business organization and has been advocating for economic development and growth and a positive business climate on Long Island since 1926.
The lia is a respected voice and resource on topics critical to Long Island's economy through its annual policy priorities, research reports, programs, and ongoing leadership in areas including supporting small businesses; addressing Long Island's affordability; creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Long Island; advocating for infrastructure investments; advancing a clean energy economy; and cultivating innovation.
The strategic committees of the lia explore topics critical to our region's economic growth and hold events so members can network and connect with decision makers. The lia also hosts annual events with globally recognized and influential speakers, including the state of the region, evening of honors, and luncheons.
