Long Island Sled Hockey fosters, promotes, and encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie through the sport of sled hockey for juvenile and adolescent athletes facing physical and/or mental challenges. The organization nurtures self-esteem, pride, and friendship among its 51 athletes, aged 10 to 72, while providing local and out-of-state tournaments. As the only program of its kind in the United States, Long Island Sled Hockey embraces diversity within its team.
