In 2023, Longmont Public Media (LPM) made significant strides in membership growth, media engagement, and community involvement. LPM?s total membership increased by 41%, from 368 in 2022 to 504 in 2023. Paid memberships also saw a 41% rise, reaching 139, which contributed to a 44% growth in revenue, totaling $34,122. Usage of LPM?s media makerspace also expanded, with a 15% increase from 2,365 uses in 2022 to 2,736 in 2023. This growth reflects the rising demand for accessible media creation resources within our community. In terms of content consumption, LPM?s platforms?ranging from our YouTube channel and smart TV apps to our website and social media?saw 6,742 hours of content watched in 2023 alone. Comcast cable viewership is excluded from this data as they do not provide those metrics to LPM. To date, a cumulative total of 33,896 hours of content has been consumed across LPM?s digital platforms. Other key metrics include: -Total users/viewers: 174,410 -Total impressions: 1,274,800 -Average percentage of a video watched by an LPM viewer: 11.9% -Average view duration: 1 minute and 51 seconds -Our most watched and liked video in 2023 was The Soundpost Sessions - Alexa Wildish & Humbird. Additionally, LPM continued its commitment to education and community building by hosting its second high school summer internship program, working closely with students from the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD). As the first full year out of the pandemic, LPM focused on fostering a vibrant community of media creators and enthusiasts. We also held our inaugural gear sale, further supporting local creators. In 2023, LPM was honored with its first award, as Joel's Garden Academy won Best Instructional Video at the Hometown Video Awards, marking a new milestone in the station?s growing recognition.
