Lccc and lccc university partnership scholarship program:the lccc Foundation provided and estimated 2,658 scholarships to students of the Lorain County Community College and the lccc university partnership program. Awards are made based on academic success, financial need, and/or talent. The awards range from the more broad and general supporting the wide collegiate Community to those more focused on supporting specific curriculum such as nursing, healthcare, and stem (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Emergency student aid and arc support:the lccc Foundation provided financial support to remove barriers to student completion by providing funding assistance to pay for unexpected emergencies. Such assistance included paying for transportation costs, meals, temporary housing, technological support, internet access, utility shutoff notices, communications, counseling, as well as physical and mental healhcare. Services are managed by the lccc arc (advocacy and resource center).
Richard desich smart commercialization center for microsystems:the lccc Foundation provided financial support for the further development and operations of the richard desich smart commercialization center for microsystems at the lccc campus. Smart is a world class mems development foundry that provides cost-effective technical, facility, and equipment resources to startups, industry/academic researchers, and federal agencies that are developing mems-based sensor products.
