Lorain County Urban League

The Lorain County Urban leagues economic empowerment programs included housing, employment, and entrepreneurship. The Lorain County Urban League is a hud certified agency. Their home ownership program helps community members achieve and sustain successful home ownership through a variety of classes, workshops, one-to-one coaching and support. Their emergency assistance programs provide assistance to Lorain County residents who are facing crises that risk or result in homelessness. Their employment services include assisting with interviewing skills, resume preparation, computer access for online job searches and applications, job search assistance, career counseling, job-readiness training, job referrals, job development, job placement, case management, and post-placement follow-up. The Lorain County Urban League also hosts the minority business assistance center mbac. Supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners to launch and grow a small business enterprise through training and coaching resources.
